East Meets West Shorin-Ryu Karate Club of Northern Virginia

A Member of Shorin-Ryu Kararte USA

Founded By Grand Master Ansei Ueshiro & Under the Direction of Hanshi Robert Scaglione

Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate USA training is now available in the Washington D.C. area with the establishment of the East Meets West Shorin-Ryu Karate Club . We train the Compton Village Townhome Community Center located at 14401 Compton Village Drive, Centreville, Va and the Glade Community Center located at 11550 Glade Drive, Reston VA.

Our fundamental approach of vigorous training in a non-competitive environment frees all of our students to become their best, never at the expense of another and never by pitting ego against ego. While learning the aspects of self defense, we work together in a spirit of harmony.
We train in Matsubayashi/Ueshiro Style Shorin-Ryu. Our club has a mix of adult students and families.

Membership in the East Meets West Karate Club is open to everyone over the age of 8. Payment method for students is monthly- no contract required. The training fee is $35 per month with a 10% discount for children/families. Uniforms (Gi) are purchased separately for a nominal cost.
