Simultaneously attacking and defending with both hands
Master Motobus karate-do inspired Master Nagamine to develop the yakusoku kumite that we practice. We can see in our yakusoku kumite principles derived by Master Nagamine from his study with Master Motobu. One of these principles is that One should strive to use both hands simultaneously in a defensive and offensive manner. One example of this principle in action in the yakusoku kumite is the defenders second move in yakusoku sho, which combines a palm heel strike with a low block. Another example is the defenders final move in yakusoku san, which combines a low block with a high punch.
