Shifting

We should study and practice Master Nagamine's words on "Shifting" as
applied to Kumite on page 246 in his book "The Essence of Okinawan
Karate-Do". Our kata[s] include various shifting moves. Yakusoku
Kumite clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of various shifting
moves. Let's try to incorporate shifting in one step sparring
exercises as well, as described by Kyoshi Baker's recent e-mail posted
on October 11th.
